Brooke is a 2021 Searle Scholar

This $300k award will support our work on "Dissecting the mechanisms of peroxisome homeostasis in human cells".

Since 1980, the Searle Scholars Program has supported 15 young investigators in biomedical research each year. I am super thrilled by this honor for supporting our lab's work on peroxisome homeostasis in human cells. Both of my mentors, Peter Walter and Andreas Martin, were Searle Scholars, so I am proud to follow in their footsteps.
